In recent years, Louella didn’t care to go out much, but she enjoyed her days passing time with word search puzzles and solitaire computer games. Louella cherished her many nieces and nephews, and did her best to keep up with them, always wanting to hear about their families. Help tell the story of your loved one’s unique life. Leave a memory or share a photo or video below to show your support. In 1958, Louella began working at the Howard Johnson’s Travel Plaza of the Ohio Turnpike in New Springfield while her husband, Frank was on strike at the steel mill.

In the past 2 years Springfield has helped us through the death of my Mother and my Father. Their response and help allowed us to focus on the remaining family rather than worrying about details of the funeral and all the notifications that are required upon a death. Born November 26, 1941, in Calgary, Alberta, Gail was living in Edmonton, AB, when, in 1957 she moved with her mother, Nedra Snelson, to Kelowna, BC. There, she met her future husband, John. We would like to offer our sincere support to anyone coping with grief. Enter your email below for our complimentary daily grief messages. She worked nights at first but once the strike ended, she continued working. The HoJo plaza had a soda fountain, a dining room and counter service. She accomplished all of this while raising her family. During her years working, she hired and managed many young people and it seemed she never forgot anyone.

Even then, she was reluctant to retire, but her kids insisted. Her husband, Frank Schlosser, whom she married Sept. 7, 1946, died Aug. 12, 1984. Together they raised five children, Cynthia Schlosser of Peterborough, N.H., James Schlosser of Boca Raton, Fla., Timothy Schlosser of Tallmadge and Terry Schlosser of Poland. Their daughter, Melissa Schlosser King, died Nov. 23, 2000.

We serve all families from Orthodox, Conservative, Reform or Reconstructionist, as well as interfaith or non-religious families. Whether you have a Rabbi you would like to officiate the service or you would like us to provide one for you, we specialize in tailoring our services to your families specific needs. Funeral homes often submit obituaries as a service to the families they are assisting. However, we will be happy to accept obituaries from family members pending proper verification of the death. From the time I called to the completion of all the services, I received compassionate, attentive and professional care.
She was generous with her love and honesty. The family lived in the Poland area in just two homes, a farm on Arrel Road, then their home in town since 1962. Frank also came from a large family and there are many memories of celebrations for Schlosser family members and Nord family birthday celebrations, weddings, births, graduations and anniversaries.
There was a sense of caring from each staff member. I was turning over my Mom to their care and I felt very comfortable with everyone. I felt heard and never felt pushed into any decision. If you wish to send a condolence, post photos, or share a memory, please scroll down the page to the area called “Condolences”. If you are unable to attend in person, please join the family online by Livestream at the time of the service , a recording will be made available to view shortly thereafter.

He was a fan of professional wrestling and was an avid movie watcher. Our deepest condolences to you and your family. She was born Dec. 10, 1923, in Bessemer, Pa.
Her attitude of daily life was so positive and she always gave 100% in everything she set out to do. In recent years, Louella didn’t care to go out much but she enjoyed her days passing time with word search puzzles and solitaire computer games. She was an avid reader, always with a book in hand, particularly liking historical fiction. She was above all a hard worker, a trait she shared with her siblings.
Please know I am thinking of you and your entire family. I know your heart is broken this holiday season, but trust me, it will heal and eventually you will be better. There will always be a hole in your heart for her, but the pain does lessen.
Know we hold you all in thought and prayer. She approached everything with determination and enthusiasm…especially Purdue! I always loved seeing her at Thanksgiving with her beautiful turkey vegetable creations and warm smile. Karen Schlosser, 71, departed to join her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at home, ending a three-year battle with cancer.

I didn’t know her as well as I knew you, but I liked her a lot and enjoyed any time we were together. 14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses…. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. I do understand your loss after losing Jerry in 2017. Please know my prayers are with you and your family.
